History
Grigore Cerchez, trained in Paris and a professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Bucharest, the man of Cotroceni Palace and of the Antipa Museum, left in Constanța both Villa Suțu and this villa of 1920. The LMI code is CT-II-m-B-02795; the building awaits restoration and has no visiting hours.
The volume is that of an architect’s house, not a block: roof, drawn windows, the proportions of an urban villa. Some sources also link it to the name Callatis, but for a walk it is enough to set it beside Suțu, so you see two faces of the same author.
Stay on public ground. It is not a museum and it is not a hotel; it is a stop for a trained eye, on a quiet street.
