History
On Sulmona Street no. 10, the Papadopol family — Greek entrepreneurs with businesses in Constanța from the end of the nineteenth century — raised around 1890 a house with neo-Romanian details. Some sources link Grigore Cerchez to the project; what is sure is that the building was made to show standing, not only shelter.
The façade is worth looking at close: surrounds, the play of the windows, the proportions of a town house, not a shore villa. It is a category B monument, on a quiet street, so do not expect a ticket office.
Photograph from the pavement and respect the residents. Sulmona is good to link with a walk through the old-house neighbourhood, not with an hour-long visit.
