History
At Ghindărești, on the bank of the Danube, a restored white-and-blue house hosts the tables at Grisha. From Constanța you take about an hour; the address is on Primăverii Street. On the plate comes Lipovan cooking: fish, soup, pies, sour cream, garden greens.
The courtyard is part of the meal. In summer you eat outside, with the river close; in winter, in rooms with wood and weavings. Portions are those of a guest, not of a tasting. Book, because it is not a hall of a hundred seats.
After lunch, go down to the bank. The village is compact, speaking Lipovan Russian, and is worth a walk before you turn back to the road.
