History

In Ovidiu Square no. 4, the bay windows come out of the wall like glass lanterns. That is why it is also called “the house with bay windows”. In 1913 the architect Nicolae Michăescu made it for the lawyer Constantin Serienescu. It is LMI, category B.

The decoration is of the beginning of the century, with accents that anticipated Art Deco taste. After 2008 there was much talk of consolidation; the square, meanwhile, remained the stage. The corner windows are worth looking at from below, opposite the statue.

In the evening the lights inside light the bays. By day it is better if you want to see the plaster. Do not block the pavement to photograph: it is a passing node.
