History
In 1899 Take Manicatide, a grain merchant and president of the Chamber of Commerce, raised his house at Nicolae Titulescu Street no. 36. The plan belonged to Haralambie Mangoianu. The building is listed LMI, category B, on the peninsula, not far from the Casino.
The façades hold the air of a well-to-do family residence, with regular windows and just enough stucco to show standing, not a palace. In 2022 the fate of the house was still being discussed, a sign that it is alive in the files, not only on the list.
Look at it from the pavement, compare it with the period neighbours, and do not force the gate. The peninsula walk links Titulescu to the cliff in 10 minutes.
