History
Oscar Han cast in bronze, in 1957, the engineer of the Cernavodă Bridge and of the modern harbour quay. The figure stands, three metres high, without a theatrical gesture. The site, beside Gate 1 of Constanța Harbour, toward Elisabeta Boulevard and toward Ovidiu, was meant to hold him between town and water.
In 1996 the work was reset and cleaned, but it remains there, at the end of the seafront walk. It is not a museum: you see it in passing, then you can enter the harbour only if you have access. The best moment is the end of the afternoon, when the bronze catches the western sun.
