History
Titus Cănănău, a mayor at the start of the 20th century, raised his seafront villa between 1913 and 1926, after a design by Victor Ștephănescu. The works stretched over the First World War; the result is an Art Nouveau house with a façade toward the sea and an interior thought for receptions, not only for sleep.
From the shore you see the tall windows and the volume of an urban villa. The monument is easy to catch on a walk between the Casino and the old hotels; do not confuse the sign on the gate with a memorial house that has opening hours.
