Valu lui Traian, in full
Valu lui Traian is a commune west of Constanța. The name comes from the earth rampart — an ancient defence line, visible in places as a rise in the field.
The earthwork is something to read, not a trail. Do not walk onto a field, do not climb a property to catch “the whole wall”. What you see from the public road is enough.
The commune is lived in, with a station on the line toward Constanța. It is not a resort and it is not an extension of Mamaia.
