Bridges and the Danube
The Danube is a border and a road. The Cernavodă bridges, the Giurgeni crossings, the ferries and the Delta branches keep Dobrogea tied to the rest of the country. We do not display "open / closed" without a source from that day. Technical enclosures are not viewpoints.
Cernavodă
Saligny's bridge (1895) and the new bridges stand side by side: an engineering lesson you read from the public bank, not from the railway. The town is worth a stop, not just a crossing on the A2. The power plant is another subject, with its own perimeter.
Giurgeni–Vadu Oii and Hârșova
The northern crossings link Dobrogea to the Bărăgan. Hârșova (Carsium) is a riverside site and town, not just a road junction. Check the official road if there is a restriction - we do not keep a live traffic light.
Ferries and boats
On the branches, the ferry is transport, not an attraction. The timetable is the operator's. Winter and wind change everything. Do not force a ferry "because you can see the other bank".
Viewpoints
Public points on the bank, pedestrian breakwaters, a town museum. Do not enter a building site, a railway, a lock. The Danube–Black Sea Canal has its own guide.
Photos
Photograph the bridge from the bank. Drones have no-fly zones beside critical infrastructure. The permits guide and the photographer's guide hold the details.
