Transport
Without a car
Constanța, Eforie, Mangalia, Tulcea and Sulina (by boat) are realistic without a car. Histria, Adamclisi and Măcin need a transfer, a rare bus or an organised trip. The timetable belongs to CFR, the bus operators and the boats - not to us, and we do not copy it.
The train
Bucharest–Constanța is the busiest link into Dobrogea. From the station, the peninsula is on foot or by local transport. The Mangalia train links Eforie, Techirghiol, Costinești - in autumn it is good for the cliff walk, not a packed beach. Towards Tulcea the link is thinner: check CFR, not a blog.
Bus and minibus
The summer coast has frequent runs; off-season they thin out. Towards Histria, Jurilovca, Greci or Adamclisi, ask the day before. Do not build a four-site itinerary on a single service that "probably exists".
The boat
Tulcea–Sulina and Tulcea–Sfântu Gheorghe: the village of Sfântu Gheorghe has no road. The timetable is the operator's. In winter, fewer boats or none. An outbound ticket is not a return - check the last boat before you sit down on a terrace.
On foot, where it is worth it
Constanța: from Ovidiu to the Casino and Tomis. Mamaia: the promenade. Mangalia: the centre, the mosque, the harbour. Tulcea: the promenade and the hill. Histria and Măcin are not a "walk on" from Constanța.
On the map
Open /dobrogea/trasee and filter pedestrian or train. The walks in the catalogue (Ovidiu, Callatis, Tulcea, Sulina) are made for feet, not for parking.
Luggage
A wheeled suitcase on a Delta boat is a punishment. A backpack. Cash. A charger. A plan B for a bed in Tulcea if the boat is cancelled.
