History
In the village of Furnica, Dumbrăveni commune, the porch is where guests are waited with warm bread and a courtyard full of flowers. The host keeps a small gastronomic point: you eat what was cooked that day, not from a laminated menu with twenty dishes.
In spring and summer the yard is half the experience. In winter you are drawn more inside, to a long table, with soup and pie. Ask in advance if you want fish or only vegetables; the stock is the house's, not a warehouse's.
You arrive by car, park at the gate, leave full. It is a good stop on a route through the villages of south-western Constanța County, where the seaside tourist does not usually stop.
