History
In 1951, the state theatre in Constanța began in the former gymnasium of Mircea cel Bătrân High School, on Ferdinand Boulevard. Between 1950 and 1952 the space was extended. Since then it has been the county's main repertory stage.
The classical hall holds several hundred seats. The repertory is drama, comedy, sometimes the classics. Tickets are taken online or at the box office. The building is a town theatre, in the centre, not an opera palace.
Check the season: in 2025 there are notices of works and of moved performances. You get there on foot from Ovidiu Square, 10 minutes.
