History
On the Casino seafront, Ion Jalea placed in 1937 the group that shows Queen Elisabeta - the one who signed Carmen Sylva. The boulevard bears her name, and the place is a few steps from the water, where she came to Constanța and to the Navy celebrations.
The work has passed through moves, weather and a restoration. Today you catch it on the same walk as the 1860 lighthouse and the Casino. Photograph it from the pavement, not from the shore wall; the wind is strong, and pedestrians keep the narrow line of the seafront.
