History
Founded in 1964, the museum in Medgidia first stood in improvised spaces, then moved into a former high school. It bears the name of the painter Lucian Grigorescu, born here. The collection is a section of the Constanța Art Museum: Tonitza, Petrașcu, Ciucurencu, Ion Pacea, plus Dobrogea landscapes.
It is not a long circuit. You see some 40–50 works well, then you leave. The light in the rooms is acceptable; in summer it is hot.
Join the visit to the Abdul Medjid Mosque, a few streets away. County hours: check beforehand, especially on Mondays.
