History

In the village of Saligny, far from the seafront, Mirela cooks in her yard for small groups. It is a local gastronomic point, not a roadside restaurant: wooden tables, courtyard, bread taken from the oven when people have gathered, not when an app order has rung.

On the table come homemade Dobrogea recipes: pies, stews, pickles, meat and vegetables from households around. Portions are family-sized; say in advance if you have allergies or if you want only fasting food.

Call ahead, do not turn up thirty people without a word. After the meal the village is quiet; you can tie the stop to a road toward Cernavodă or back toward Constanța, without spending the whole day in the resorts.
