History
In the Gura Dobrogei Reserve, among limestone hills, the foundation stone was laid in 2011. The name holds Dionysius Exiguus - Dionysius the Humble - the Dobrogean monk who calculated the era from the Birth of Christ, used today in the civil calendar. The church is new; the memory is sixth-century.
Icons have come from Greece and from Athos, including a face of the Mother of God Quick to Hear. In 2022 the settlement was already in service. Enter in monastery clothes, then, if you have time, walk an hour through the reserve: caves, paths, quiet. Do not leave the marked road; the limestone breaks underfoot.
