Jurilovca, Sarichioi, Mila 23, Carcaliu, 2 Mai: Old Believer communities, liturgical Russian, churches with their own crosses, and etiquette you do not improvise. We write context, not a church timetable and not a guesthouse menu.
Where you see it
On the shore of Razim, in the Delta and, in fragments, on the southern coast. Blue houses, nets, lotcas and Old Believer churches are the landscape, not a studio set. Walking into the village is not a ticket to a show.
The churches
The old rite has its own customs. Ask before you photograph. Modest dress. Do not enter the altar. A patronal feast belongs to the community, not an Instagram festival - if it is announced publicly, it may appear under Events.
The table
Fish, soup and fasting pie are part of the table. Not every house takes guests. Do not knock on a gate "because I saw it on a vlog". Places that host say so on a sign or a site.
Language and respect
A hello and a thank you go a long way. The road dictionary has a few words. Do not mimic the accent. Do not treat the village as an ethnographic reserve.
On the water
Many Lipovans are people of the marsh. A trip is arranged with an operator, with a life jacket and a timetable, not "with an uncle of theirs" found on the quay.
