Beaches in retreat
The shore moves. We write what is documented (CERC, town halls, public studies), not forecasts. No alarmism, no weekend guide of “see it while it lasts.” Breakwaters, brought-in sand, cliffs.
What we see
Protection works, narrow beaches, reinforced cliffs. Mamaia is not Eforie, Eforie is not Vama. A winter frame shows the skeleton; in summer the brought-in sand covers it.
How we write
No “the beach is disappearing.” With a source and a year. A press piece without a study is not enough.
What you can do
Walk the promenade, read a panel, do not take sand home, do not dig a dune.
The Delta
There the shore grows: Sulina, the lighthouse in town. Same sea, different sediment, different lesson.
