History
Florentin Sîrbu names his work “Genesis”: matter gathering into form, voids and solids, a tension of beginning, not of portrait. He is not looking for a recognized figure; he is looking for the moment when the volume becomes something.
The textures belong to chisel and casting, visible from a metre away. It is a park piece, so you read it all around, not from a single angle.
Tie it to the other sculptures on the seafront if you are doing an art tour; otherwise, it is a halt of two photographs.
