History

At the crossing of Ștefan Mihăileanu and Călărași streets, on one of the high points of Constanța, the parish founded in 1919 raised between 1934 and 1937 the church of the Holy Emperors Constantine and Helen. The project belonged to Dumitru Ionescu-Berechet, architect of the Patriarchate; the foundation stone was laid in the time of Patriarch Miron Cristea.

The tower is seen from far off. Inside, the nave is high, the icons belong to the twentieth century, and the repairs of 1980-1981 and 2009 read if you look at the plaster, not only at the gilding.

Climb on foot from the centre: the effort is worth it to understand why they chose the hill. The patronal services, on 21 May, fill the courtyard; the rest of the year it is a neighbourhood parish with the door open by day.
