Techirghiol
The salt lake and the mud made Techirghiol a treatment resort, not just a halt between Eforie and Constanța. Treatments run on clinic hours. The lake can be seen from public shores. We do not publish a bathing protocol — we are not doctors.
The lake
Salty, shallow, with a smell of its own, and shorebirds. You look at it from public roads and pontoons. It is not a Mamaia beach. It is not the Delta.
The mud
Clinics and treatment centres have hours, a referral, a fee. Off-season, some stay open — call. Do not smear yourself on a random shore without knowing the local rule.
The town
Quiet, of seniors and of cures, with a useful train halt. Eforie is a stone’s throw; you do not have to do everything in one morning.
Train
A halt on the Constanța–Mangalia line. A weekend by train holds together: Eforie, Techirghiol, the promenade, no car.
What we do not write
Medical advice, “it heals”, hotel lists. The water-quality guide is about the sea, in season, not about the lake.
