Constanța
Ovidiu Square, museum (if open), the mosaic building, Carol I Mosque, Tomis Harbour, the Casino. Mamaia by bus. After 15 September we do not recommend swimming.
Danube Delta
Boats leave from Tulcea. There is no road to Sfântu Gheorghe. Ask the operator for the timetable. ARBDD rules, cash, mosquitoes.
Mosques
Carol I (Constanța), Esmahan Sultan (Mangalia), Gazi Ali Pașa and Sari Saltuk (Babadag). Not a museum — a place of worship. No photos during prayer without leave.
Măcin Mountains
The oldest mountains in Romania, under 500 metres. Spring and autumn are better. Marked path, no ATVs.
Phrases
Thank you, water, toilet, ticket, open, closed: /dobrogea/dictionar. Plăcintă and Tatar pastry are sought in the morning; we do not invent a menu.
