Port of Constanța
The commercial port is one of the largest on the Black Sea: work, fence, no photos of operations. The seafront and Port Tomis are the public part. They do not mix.
What you can visit
Tomis harbour (leisure), the promenade, the Casino area, the Genoese Lighthouse, publicly announced quays. A few commercial-port tours are posted officially, and rarely — if there is no announcement, there is no tour.
What it is not
Container berths, silos, military zones, gated access roads. “I saw an open gate” is not an invitation.
Photos
From public land, yes. Operating installations, no. Drones have no-fly zones. This is not a hint to “give it a try”.
History
Tomis was a port before it was a resort. The mosaic, the quays, the museum hold the thread. The modern port is Saligny, oil, grain, containers — another era, the same shore.
On foot
Walk Ovidiu stops at Tomis, not at berth 12. A day in Constanța does the same.
