History
Beside Hotel Central in Mamaia, on the grass between the promenade and the road, a young woman of limestone stands facing the sea. Cornel Medrea carved her in 1961: full forms, without small details.
The sculptor (1888-1964) was then working on several pieces for the coast. The plinth is low, at the level of passers-by. It is a two-minute stop between the beach and a coffee.
