History
On the hills near Enisala the steppe peony (Paeonia peregrina) blooms, briefly. It is not the same reserve as Dealul Bujorului at Ciucurova: it is the slope above the lagoon, with the fortress behind and Razim in front.
The season is April–May, a few weeks. The rest of the year it remains a hillside of grasses and a good view toward the water. Stay on the path, do not pick flowers, do not drive down onto the grass. Comfortable shoes, water, sun.
The most natural thing is to tie the peonies to the fortress and to the peasant household in the village. If you have hit the bloom, stay an hour and leave; visitor pressure is precisely what kills a rare plant.
