Memoria canalului

The Danube–Black Sea Canal had two construction phases. Between 1949 and 1953 forced labour by political prisoners was part of the first site, then halted. The canal opened in 1984 is today’s. We do not merge the two into one heroic sentence or one pamphlet line.
