Lotca
A lotca is the long, narrow wooden boat of the Delta and of Razim. It is a tool. You look at it from the public bank, if it is out in the sun or at a quay. It is not something you climb into.
What you recognise
Flat bottom, sharp bow, sometimes a low cabin. Oiled wood, not showroom gloss. Beside it you may see a dry net. Net and lotca belong to the fisher’s yard, not to an open-air museum.
Where you look from
From the Tulcea promenade, from the public dyke in Jurilovca or Sarichioi, from a bank marked public. Do not enter a yard, do not climb into the boat, do not untie a rope to “see better”.
What it is not
We do not publish a yard, a price, or an hour for a ride. A passenger boat is not a lotca. A private pontoon is not a public quay.
