Isaccea, in full
Isaccea is a town on the Dobruja bank of the Danube, in the north of Tulcea County. Under it lies Noviodunum, the Roman river-fleet base. The town is lived in. The site can be read only as far as it is marked and open.
The ferry to Brăila does not leave from here. The ramp is at Smârdan, further south. We do not mix the two stops.
The border post is a working installation, not a viewpoint. We do not publish a border tour and we do not invent a boat timetable.
