Border crossings
Vama Veche, Isaccea, Sulina: real crossings, hours belonging to the Border Police. We write only public information. We do not interpret visas, we do not "know a shift break", we do not send anyone to a night ferry without an official notice.
Vama Veche – Durankulak
The southern border, into Bulgaria. Summer queues, winter quiet, papers as at any EU border. Exact hours belong to the Border Police. The Dobrogea-from-Bulgaria guide holds what is on the other side, not what is at the barrier.
Isaccea and the north
Towards Ukraine. The situation changes. Read the MFA and the Border Police before you build a weekend. The Ukraine-border guide is short on purpose: we do not keep a risk map from memory.
Sulina
A town at the Danube mouth, with the logic of a port and a border. It is not a weekend crossing like Vama. The boat, the papers, the harbour master - it is official or it is not.
Papers
Passport or ID card, depending on citizenship and destination. Children have their own rules. We do not interpret them. mae.ro and politiadefrontiera.ro.
Queues and hours
We do not predict them. Summer + weekend + Vama = waiting. Off-season it can be a formality. A plan B for a bed on one side or the other beats a guess.
