Insurance checklist
What to ask on a travel policy if you are coming to Dobrogea. We do not sell insurance, we are not a broker, we do not "recommend a firm". Read the contract. The boat, a cancelled sailing, health and luggage are real points, not decorative small print.
Health
Ask whether a water evacuation, a night in hospital in Constanța or Tulcea, or a private consultation off-season is covered. The European Health Insurance Card helps EU citizens in the state system, not at every coastal clinic.
Boat and Delta
Some policies exclude small boats or require a life jacket and a licensed operator. Say it plainly: Delta, lotca, passenger boat. If it is not written, it is not covered.
Cancellation
The boat is cancelled in wind. The train runs late. A Delta hotel closes in winter. Ask about weather cancellation and "supplier failure".
Luggage and kit
The binoculars, the camera, the drone (if you have it legally) have compensation thresholds. A wheeled suitcase lost on a quay is rare; a wet backpack is common.
The car
RCA belongs to the car, not the holiday. Travel insurance does not replace comprehensive cover. On the A2 and DN22, distances lie - a tow to Constanța is discussed with assistance, not with us.
