First time in Romania: Dobrogea
If you land first in Dobrogea, not in Bucharest: the leu, 230 V, 112, a vignette, limited English outside the coast. The shore is easy to read; the steppe interior and the Delta ask for another pace. We do not sell tours and we do not book rooms.
Money and prices
RON. Card in town, cash in the village and in the Delta. The “what a day costs” guide is an estimate, not an offer. The petrol in the planner is a dated national average, not a live pump price.
Getting here
Mihail Kogălniceanu Airport, the train to Constanța, the car on the A2. Tulcea is a second gate, for the Delta. Do not combine a boat and Histria in the same afternoon you land.
Three days, one thread
Day 1: Constanța on foot. Day 2: one site (Histria or Adamclisi) or Eforie–Mangalia by train. Day 3: Tulcea and, if you catch a boat, a short loop. More than that is another holiday.
