By car, 2 days, on the heritage trail of the Măcin Mountains, about 104 km: from Măcin to the History and Archaeology Museum, 12 stops. Town at the foot of Romania’s oldest mountains. Base of the Roman Danube fleet. Collections from Aegyssus, the Geto-Dacian fortress on the hill.

Plan 2 days with overnight stays along the route. Combine driving with breaks at sites open to the public. Places of worship and pilgrimage: modest clothing, silence during services, respect for the customs of the local community (Muslim, Orthodox, or Lipovan).
