A canal pumping station
On the Danube–Black Sea Canal, pumping stations hold the level. They are working buildings, with pipes and fenced yards. You read them from the road, like the lock at Poarta Albă.
What you look at
The volume, the tower, the water. From the car or from a public bank. Do not walk onto the crown. Do not photograph the electrical boards.
Where, without a pin
Along the canal, near locks and villages such as Poarta Albă and Agigea. We do not publish a point on a service stair.
What it is not
Not a viewpoint. Not a picnic spot. A passing ship is not a timed show.
