History
Saint Spyridon is a neighbourhood church from the second half of the twentieth century, raised when Constanța was growing beyond the old centre. The plan is of Byzantine inspiration, with clear turrets and solid masonry, without period ornament.
The feast gathers parishioners from the blocks around. For the rest of the year it is a place for Sunday service and memorials, not a tourist queue. The façades read well from the pavement, in afternoon light.
Check the hour of the service if you want to find the interior open. Combine the visit with a neighbourhood walk, not with the peninsula route.
