By car, 2 days, through the Măcin Mountains, about 254 km: from Medgidia to Cocoș Monastery, 12 stops. Mosque and railway junction. Roman fortress on the rocks. The forest monastery that holds the relics of the Niculițel martyrs.
How to do the route
Plan 2 days with overnight stays along the route. Combine driving with breaks at sites open to the public. Places of worship and pilgrimage: modest clothing, silence during services, respect for the customs of the local community (Muslim, Orthodox, or Lipovan).
