Mixed, 3 days, on the heritage trail of the Danube Delta, about 209 km: from Măcin to Halmyris Fortress, 16 stops. Town at the foot of Romania’s oldest mountains. Gateway to the Danube Delta. The fortress where Epictet and Astion were martyred (the year 290); their relics, found in the crypt in 2001.
How to do the route
Plan 3 days with overnight stays along the route. Combine mixed travel with breaks at sites open to the public. Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve (ARBDD): follow the local rules and the instructions of the authorities or licensed guides.

- Geamia Ali Gazi Pașa - One of the oldest mosques in the country.
