Plan 5 days with overnight stays along the route. Combine boat travel with breaks at sites open to the public. Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve (ARBDD): follow the local rules and the instructions of the authorities or licensed guides.

- Chilia Veche - Northern branch.
- Pădurea Letea - Romania's first nature reserve (1938): lianas, ancient oaks. Visit only on designated trails, with a guide.
- Sulina - Danube European Commission lighthouse (1870), now a museum, 2 km from the sea that has receded.
- Plaja Sulina - Wild beach where the Danube ends its 2,860 km journey.
