By car, half a day, on the trail of heritage along the Danube corridor, about 57 km: from the Saligny Bridge to Hârșova, 4 stops. A masterpiece of Romanian engineering (1895), at its inauguration the longest bridge complex in Europe. The town of the Thinker of Hamangia and of the ancient fortress of Axiopolis. Trajan's fortress on the limestone cliffs, nearly two millennia of superimposed fortifications.
How to do the route
Allow half a day by car. Set out early in the morning or in the afternoon, when it is cooler. Archaeological sites and museums: keep to visiting hours, do not damage the structures and do not pick objects up from the ground.
