Iron on the peninsula is work: a grille, a bracket, a house number, a gate. Iron balconies are the walk. Here are six pieces, as objects, not as a route.
What you look for
A volute cut with a chisel, a building number, a cellar-window grille, a bracket under a balcony, a passageway gate, a lamp holder. All from the pavement. The houses are lived in.
Where, without an exact address
The streets around Piața Ovidiu and towards the promenade. If a house is a building site, you pass. Do not ring the bell to ask “who made the grille”.
The workshop
If a smith announces visiting hours, go to workshop with public hours. Until then the piece is on the wall, not in the craftsman’s yard.
